THANKSGIVING WITH THE HUFF'S
KARA, TOGO, WEST AFRICA
Yes it is. Cat with vegetables.
Puppy dog.
Cat and dog at peace on my dinner plate.
As expected the cat was a bit tough and stringy. Turns out it was also eleven years old, which added to the chewiness. The puppy, on the other hand, was delicious. I offered to share the liver, but no takers. Even Shane, who loves his dog (Jaws, a pit bull), had to admit that this was good eating.
Naturally, I wound up eating at the "children's" table.
Missionary kids are awesome. This young lady thinks and speaks at a college level. Most impressive, she and her sister are a testimony to her parents raising children to God's glory.
Fellow missionaries came from quite a distance to share Thanksgiving at the Huff's
Six thousand miles from home and still not strangers.
Some people you are just drawn to. Would love to have them as next door neighbors.
Another good neighbor candidate.
and another. To have so many people who love Jesus under your roof at one time is truly reason for Thanksgiving.
Shane found a special friend and spent hours sharing the Word.
everyone stayed as long as they could, not wanting to break up the fellowship.
I would like to apologise for not remembering names. I blame it on PTSD from Nam and ask your forgiveness. Everyone was so friendly and I will not forget this Thanksgiving. I am asking Heidi to help with names to go with the pictures. Thank you for sharing this special day with us.
