On the Road to Kpalime

Bob Hope did a whole series of movies titled "On the Road to ............".  Well this is my "On the Road to Kpalime".  Had myself, Christophe and one other young man in the front seat of the truck and four young ladies in the back seat.  .

then out of nowhere 

someone found money and built 20 kilometers of real road.........  

When we got to the conference grounds they were setting up for an anticipated 1000-1200 young people.  By the end of the day 1500 had registered.

They filled the entire covered area and some seating was out of the shelter.  Fortunately it did not rain and there was room for everyone.

This is the rest of our group.  Six had ridden with me, five took another vehicle (taxi) and two rode 360 kilometers (little over 200 miles) on a 125cc motor bike.  These young people really wanted to attend.

The girls were in dormitories on the conference grounds and the boys in dorms about a kilometer down the road.    It is at this point that I leave them and start my own adventure without an interpreter.
